Overview
Dragonite V possess high HP and high power. On top of that it also has no weakness which make it hard to get knock out.
Both of its attack are useful. The first attack Shred has 50 damage and the damage is not affected by an effect on your Pokemon. You can use this attack to counter against Pokemon like Altaria with Ability Miraculous Charm which prevent it from taking any damage from Pokemon V and Pokemon GX.
The other attack Dragon Gale is very strong attack since this attack has 250 Damage. This massive damage is strong enough to KO any Pokemon V except Wailord V. But, the attack also does 20 damage to each of your Benched Pokemon. Like most of the Dragon Pokemon, its Dragon Gale attack require 2 different types of Energy [2 Water Energy and 1 Lightning Energy]. Although this attack does damage to your Benched Pokemon, you don't need to rechrage this attack or discard Energy from using this attack.
Energy Setup
Because there are more Water Energy in Dragon Gale attack, it is more logical to accelerate Water Energy instead of Lightning Energy.
One way to do is by using Frostmoth Ability Ice Dance which allows you to attach any number of Water Energy from your hand to your Benched Dragonite V. Capacious Bucket can be used to find 2 Water Energy from your deck and attach those Water Energy to Benched Dragonite V by using Frostmoth Ability.
Increase and heal HP
Even though Dragonite V has high HP [230 HP], it is still recommended to increase its HP so that it can last at least 2 turn. You can use Cape of Toughness to increase Dragonite V HP by 50. With 280 HP, this will reduce the chance of Dragonite V getting OHKO.
Every time you use Dragon Glase, small amount of your Benched Dragonite V HP is chipped away. Although it is small amount of damage, this might give your opponent a chance to OHKO your Benched Dragonite V. To prevent this, you can use Moomoo Cheese to heal 30 Damage to 2 of your Benched Dragonite V. But, to use Moomoo Cheese, your Dragonite V must have at least 1 Energy.
Increase Damage
Dragonite V attack Dragon Gale can't OHKO your opponent VMAX Pokemon. So, increasing damage by any mean is always a right decision. Setting up a few Inteleon Rapid Strike with Ability Quick Shooting will help you knock out your opponent's VMAX Pokemon much faster than using Dragonite V alone.
For instance, you will be able to deal 6 Damage counters on your any of your opponent's Pokemon if you manage to set up 3 Inteleon. If you add this 60 damage to Dragon Gale damage 250, the total damage will become 310. Though it still can't knock out some of the VMAX Pokemon, you can use Inteleon V Rapid Strike Abiliy again during your next turn to knock out your opponent VMAX Pokemon with very few ramining HP left.
Alos, Inteleon pre-evolution Drizzile with Ability Shady can also be used to find Trainer Cards that require for your set up.
